A Poem by A. Wrin
"

Very much a personal poem about a very important time.

"
we fell
into an intimacy
we could never fall out of

we drowned
deep
within each other

we buried
ourselves
in love

he held me close and we breathed in
the winter nights
we called our own

he looked at me
and i realized then
that i had finally found home.

This is a very beautifully written poem.

I like the way each word seamlessly falls in place, almost effortlessly.
It’s very emotive, and not at all hollow, like many love poems can be; but this ones got heart.

I love this poem as it for me enhances the fragility of relationships. What we see is so perfect that it almost leaves a bittersweet taste, a sense of foreboding. The ‘drowned deep within each other’ is perfect fusion, but also complete interdependence.

The poem is very cathartic, I really like it.

Good work, the character in the poem narrates how it found what it was looking for, a person that would complete what the character in the poem was looking for through the journey in life.

Ah, the classic love story of falling for that special someone. I like how you set up your stanzas; I thought they looked a lot like stairs. So in a way, I felt like I was retracing the journey you describe step by step. The fourth stanza is my favorite. Although, I seem to associate love and falling for people as a summer sort of thing. You know, when everything is so green and new and hot after the long winter and mild spring. That could have something to do with the fact that I'm a northerner though.

Anyway, I love the winter imagery in that stanza and the sensation you convey. I think it is really quite tender and wonderful. Those sorts of winter nights are great.
