Bruised

Bruised

A Poem by Amy

My brain has been bruised by you.

I try not to reminiscence but my mind moves to fast.

All the memories of you still linger in my heart,

for you are no longer mine, it tears me apart.

I have been bruised by the colours of your smile,

all the times you’ve held me, won’t you stay a while?

The warmth of your presence,

all the times we’ve made love.

I have been bruised by you,

the colours run dark,

the imprints that you’ve left,

have permanently bruised my heart.

don't expect anything out of love, besides a broken heart.

This is beautiful, and I can honestly say that I can relate. Keep on writing and maybe add a few more lines to this?
