I've Learned

I have learned,

to no longer care about those who don’t give a damn about me.

 

I’ve learned,

that a million words won’t bring you back,

I know because I’ve tried,

neither would a million tears,

I know because I’ve cried.

 

I’ve learned,

that s**t happens,

so I step on it,

and keep walking.

 

I’ve learned,

that I can’t fight faith, God, you, my parents, life, or myself.

Because no matter how hard I try in life,

the world will never stop for my grief.
