Escape

Escape

A Poem by Amy

I’m trapped at the bottom,

searching for the surface.

I’ve lost control of my breathing,

my lungs have collapsed.

I’m looking for the key to let me out,

but it’s trapped underneath the floorboards.

I'm smashing my hands against the window,

pounding them against the door.

I’m chasing you,

looking for the truth,

examining you.

I’m trying to escape,

I know it might be a little too late,

but I can no longer wait,

for this life I hate.

i know how it feels we always feel trapped at times
we try hard for an escape..but there is non
we try to run from this life we hate
we all tried once ..but there is little room to hide
for everywhere is like a prison
like the room you are locked in and try to find a way
you smash hard at the windows ..pound hard at the door
i know a better way ..calm and look in your mind
you will find some peace but alas ..only for a while
you are so smart Amy..i thought a lot about you said
and i think thats the answer
wonderful work
