Learn To Be Still

Learn To Be Still

A Poem by Amy

I can’t stand waiting,

its seems like forever,

when it has only been a day.

I can’t stand losing,

it seems like I always do,

when you win my heart every time.

I can’t stand being apart from you,

because I miss your sweet smile,

it is the every lasting warmth that I long for.

I can’t stand hiding,

you haven’t got a clue in the world,

yet my body is screaming for you inside.

I can’t stand being invisible,

I want to shine,

and be the light that brightens up your life.

My patience is wearing thin,

but deep inside I know how you feel,

and for all of this I will learn to be still.
