Anywhere But HereA Poem by AmyIt’s hard fitting in, when every body attaches a label to your name, expecting you to be something, when everyone around you acts the same.
This place is full of posers, fakers, liars, and drug dealers, then there’s the cool bunch, the jocks, and academic achievers.
Once the day is over, there’s always a gang that picks a fight, putting someone else down, it just doesn’t seem right.
You know they have a name for this sick place, a place where people call you a fool, because if you don’t stick around, you’re no longer "cool".
But aren’t we all here for one purpose? to educate ourselves? and if this is the case, then why has it turned into a living hell?
I’d rather be anywhere but here, far away from this place, somewhere, where they no longer hate me, and don’t judge me by my face. © 2008 AmyReviews
