Look At You

Look At You

A Poem by Amy

Look at you,

I can't stand all your talking,

you make a fake,

then you break,

and then expect another date?

I don't know what you are,

or who you are.

Look at you,

you think so highly of yourself,

you try to pass the time at ease,

remembering who you try to please,

you think you are a super star?

Dream on, buddy.

Look at you,

look at yourself in the mirror,

remember all the promises?

the guilt that's left inside your soul,

do you remember now?

Or are you trying to hide it?

Look at you,

look at what you've done to yourself,

you started as a pretty face,

but now you're left with shame and disgrace,

it's all your fault,

you’ve only lied to yourself.
