Walk Away

Walk Away

A Poem by Amy

The time has come.

Where I can no longer keep up with you.

I finally have the strength to resist your temptation.

Not that you seem to care.

For you only converse with me, based on your convenience.

How could you be so selfish?

How could I be so naive?

I now see that you only care about yourself and no one else’s happiness.

Thanks.

From now on I won’t be there whenever you call,

I won’t respond to any of your messages,

I won’t even look in your direction,

You no longer exist in my mind.

Don’t waste your time,

selling me your famous act,

Because I already know your game,

I've beaten you at it.

If you don’t have an answer, then I will find one for myself.

Goodbye.

Hell yes, you tell THAT boy Amy!
He blew his chance, now you have won this game by walking away.
Now now, perhaps he's shy, so you must help him out a little.
Hold his hand during this, so he doesn't feel so alone!

Anyways, you are brilliant. I loved this.

I like how such a strong decision is presented in this piece.
I love the way you spell it right out for them and basically telling them to screw off because you're above their games. Great piece. I really enjoyed reading it.
