Killing Me SoftlyA Poem by AmyI inhale your toxins, where you seem to get your pleasure. Dark charcoal clouds of poisonous waste, I am addicted, yet ignorant towards your harmful effects. How charismatic am I? With you carefully placed between my fingers, using you for social expenses, as I laugh in collective gatherings, yet choke on my own air. I complain because I know that it’s impossible for me to give up on you, to quit to save myself, I crave your satisfying relish of tobacco, to keep me alive, because without you, I’d have nowhere else to turn, I breathe you in, and feel you burn against my throat, fulfilling the temptation that I am unable to resist, as my body aches inside, incapable of walking away, but you already know that you won… © 2008 AmyReviews
