The Night WatcherA Poem by AmyAlone at night I hear nothing but a fearless whisper. Tonight he is thirsty, thirsty for my blood. I am drawn to him and his cold-hearted soul. He is drawn to the scent of my fresh throat. I feel his cool breath blow down my neck, where he is ready to seep his sharp pointy teeth. Just one taste is all he wants. The thought of his poisonous venom running through my veins, leaves a frigid chill. Yet I stand still, mesmerized by his presence. My heart begins to beat faster, his hiss becomes his charm. He pulls me in quick, while I hold my breath. "Your innocence belongs to me now.." His voice, which calls to me, and speaks my name, is now his sweet melody, and immediately has me captivated. He strokes his icy fingers slowly across my neck, and leans in to kiss my throat. I fear nothing and surrender… © 2008 AmyFeatured Review
