Otherwise PerfectA Poem by TuckerAnd on the dirt, so simple, so pure; The human world seems so obscure. A world of ice, a world of snow, In this world I have no foe. Watch the snowflakes; Watch them twirl and spin for goodness sakes. Gracious pirouettes, see them dance, This world is safe; let’s take a chance. No footprints but mine, Beneath the snow-laden pine; And yet I continue to search Among the dead gray birch. Peace and serenity, utter calm, The wind whispers too beautiful a song. A glacial lake, encased in ice, Drawn to this world, it is my vice. A paradise of snow and ice, A world far from men and mice; And yet, in all respect, Without you, it is not near perfect. And though I wish to share with you, A paradise long overdue; For you, I endure a world askew, For against my will, I do love you. © 2010 TuckerReviews
