I'm Not Your Savior

I'm Not Your Savior

A Poem by Tucker
"

Another old rambling I recently found hidden away in an old book.

"
Every passing moment seems an eternity,
yet the hours slip by like water through deathly fingers.

Have our human minds so betrayed us?
They have mislead us, trapped us in our ignorance.
Are you yet so young, so strong, so beautiful?
Glance into the mirror, my ignorant friend,
for only in a warped mirror will you see the truth.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
but who is to judge, when we are all blind?
Shall we continue to ignore screams of agony,
the screams of those in torture?
Plug our ears and sing.
But sing in silence,
for no one can hear us when we are all deaf.

Don't turn your head, from pain, from suffering,
because when it is your turn, who will save you?
