BumblebeeA Poem by nastasimirremembranceBumblebee we were
five years old the three
of us sixty years ago so, who
would remember that day when we
buried Bumblebee yes, the
Bumblebee the one we
tied to a string she flew
until we crushed her to death and buried
in a matchbox soon a
Sparrow kept her company we found
him asleep and shriveled up he barely
fit in a cigarette box who would have thought of the Bumblebee and the sleeping Sparrow, had we not
buried Peter today if Peter
is alive, he would deny that was a Bumblebee I know he
would say it was a green beetle and an asleep Sparrow © 2023 nastasimir |
