Sea Foam and Seagulls

Sea Foam and Seagulls

A Poem by Doug

There’s a sand glaze

On the white bare feet

Walking down Stinson Beach.

Your hand is warm in mine

As a cold salt water

Inches up to us.

Sea foam and seagulls

Litter the beach.

We’ll sit on wind chilled sand

And watch the sun dive

Like a seagull into the Pacific.

My arms will warm you

Until night takes over.

And I won’t speak.

I will mist you with kisses.

About
One night while I was asleep I had the words, "Veni, Vidi, Vici" repeating in my head. All night this happened. I want to somehow use this creatively. I feel like it was a sign to use it for some s.. more..
