Jeff Buckley Six Years LaterA Poem by DougThis is a very personal one for me. I wasn't even going to post it on here until Annelise almost forced me to. But I'm very happy with it.
I wasn’t ready for The Last Goodbye or Hallelujah Until six months Past our six years. What else am I ready for? “But love is not a victory march It’s a cold and it’s a broken hallelujah,” He sings. In the quiet apartment I’m wondering if he’s wrong. Again and again he sings it. I needed a haircut Two weeks ago. The kitchen mess builds. Third time around And he’s convincing me He’s right. © 2008 DougReviews
