Rain is Like a Fog

Rain is Like a Fog

A Poem by Doug

Like a Japanese monsoon it comes.

I’m the 80 year old grandma

With black umbrella

That’s not staying dry.

I feel the wind starting up stronger.

On the dock I stand,

Watching the water rise.

The storm is here.

Rain is like a fog,

Hiding the Japan Alps

On the other side of the lake.

Seeing her gently touch

The back of his neck

Rushes it over me

Like a Japanese monsoon.

Fantastic. Really captures that feeling! Amazing job -- especially with creating two different characters, one metaphoric, to express the emotion.

About
One night while I was asleep I had the words, "Veni, Vidi, Vici" repeating in my head. All night this happened. I want to somehow use this creatively. I feel like it was a sign to use it for some s.. more..
