Lips in a New Orleans Side Street

Lips in a New Orleans Side Street

A Poem by Doug

Touch me with your kisses.

Arms lock around me

And against the door

Of green corroding paint.

Corner eye catches

Spot Ursalines and Decatur.

Neons fizz lights

Past your closed clutching eyes.

Breath after breath

It’s only your lips.

Feet killing shoes

And emptied wallet

Fall away in those lips.

Don’t stop, just kiss.

Kiss me, then kiss me, then kiss me.

About
One night while I was asleep I had the words, "Veni, Vidi, Vici" repeating in my head. All night this happened. I want to somehow use this creatively. I feel like it was a sign to use it for some s.. more..
