Davy Jones Band

Davy Jones Band

A Poem by mischeif
"

..................

"

Sailing helplessly through the seven seas

Were the bloodiest pirates known to thee

Hunting after anything that floats

Untill they come across a boat

The battle stared with a roar,

Guns and swords flying garlore,

And there atop the mast

she stands sword a grasp,

Off she flies with a hiss and a roar,

Several men hit the floor.

"It's the locker for you mate

How unlucky is your fate"

The war is on

blood covering the deck they stand upon

Thirteen men in a dead mans chest

How will you finish lifes test?

"Fire the cannons on these scurve dogs"

Her cry runs through the salty fog

Sword glemming in the given light

Her eyes roaring a fire bright

The storm comes to it's victories end

The lost boat sank, no more purpose to attend

"Unlucky lot weren't they captain?"

"Aye but who doesn't fall to our cannons"

Now shone the moon so bright

Along with stars of silver light,

So away from site of man,

Sailed Davy Jones and his band.

Very very well done, great use of Pirate words and I liked the rhyming. You forgot a apostrophe in the first paragraph, but apart from that there was hardly any mistakes. Great job, an enjoyable read.
