Tears

Tears

A Poem by mirha

I went out to the street, piece by piece holding some trashbags.
The small dotted snow for a while turned into a big dotted snow and wet the street.
How reckless you are!
On the street where you will be brutally melted and disappeared
How come you are throwing your whole body..
First glanced to the home and finally moved my legs to the opposite side of the street.
Quietly fluttering snow and frostily surrounding night
And a streetlight iluminating them without a word
For a second, standing on a side of crosswalk, I looked up into the sky.
As if something would happen.
The world, however, seems to be calm as usual.
Tip-tap! tip-tap!
As if walking into the sweet dream,
Stepping on the sloppy street as if walking over my wet heart
With my throat choked and wiping chilly snow water in my eyes
I murmured with my mouth closed.
So pretty but it's just a distant dream.
If another dawn comes,
The street will be the freezing reality.
More and more
I feel somehow I don't want to direct my steps toward home.
If only I could keep walking along the street.
But the street I started was eventually ended.
As if there's nothing happening.
It was just a dark night
The snow water just streamed down
Only my broken heart was touched.

We can learn to lose pain in the the oddest of places. Rain, snow and a sunny day. I like the journey leading to the strong ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
