pure loveA Story by Muhammad M. Ibrahim
I was standing in the crowd while the celebration of the king’s Twentieth anniversary was going on… the royals were looking very attractive as they ride on their horses. Thousands of people were out watching while royal drums and trumpets were sounding loud and exciting. But little that you know, that was just my excuse. My eyes were staring but my mind was out there hoping… then she passed by with her friend smiling in her school uniform. At first I pretend to ignore but I just can’t stand it! So I followed her but she was ahead of me until she went in home. I walked to and fro hoping she’ll be out but for a while she didn’t. then I stood there watching, along came her friends searching for her. Then it sounded in my heart like a drum is beating. And in my head like a bomb exploding, wishing and hoping she’ll come around. I completely lost it that she is never going to be seen by my eyes that day. Then, she came out behind me. When she sees me, she cannot call me because she is shy. So she called “Kabiru” loudly so I could notice she is behind me and turn around, I heard her but I pretend I didn’t. she stood behind me for a while then moved forward to her friends who are couple of feet beside me. she looks at me when am not staring at her, when I move my head she quikely turn her eyes down. after few minutes she together with her friends came pass infront of me. when she came very close I could almost here the sound of her heart beating so fast. When she was few distance away from me, she turn arround and looked at me straight in the eyes then put her head down smiling. she looked at me twice thesame way, then, her friends pulled her away home.. few minutes later, the rain started. I rman somewere to hide. it rained heavily for about 35 minutes. After the rain stopped. I came back to thesame spot hoping she'll come out again so icould speak to her but my dad called me on cellphone. I have to leave...
