Neruda’s DreamersA Poem by Miranda ArochoSincere love poem.
Amid pillars of nothingness
Court-yard in evermore Evenings they might bless In the corridors. Neruda’s dreamers Marble ceiling a mind Gasp this crevice with you O, mutated and blind Blemished temple we knew. Neruda’s dreamer When nude and sighing, “Cleansed of all evil…” The silver pattern dust Hyacinth in your soul’s becoming My praying body’s trust Once I heard them humming. Neruda’s dreamers On the plinth of its wings When this praised world has smiled Mystic delusion it sings “Woman, “I would have been your child…” Neruda’s dreamer When nude and sighing love When nude and sighing love. Precipice sat the existentialist Twined crocuses at his creed In death to be dismissed Onto the same kissed stalk I bleed. Neruda’s dreamers Painted magic stills dance Growling reverberations in the dew Lost in this animal trance With you. Neruda’s dreamer © 2010 Miranda ArochoAuthor's Note
