Chapter 2A Chapter by Miranda Buchanan
Louis
I woke up the next morning to an empty bed. Why does this always keep on happening. I know it's a huge step for her, but couldn't she be there when I wake up in the morning. I walked out into the living room and saw all the other lads there. Liam and Niall looked over at me and waved, but after seeing my pathetic excuse for a wave they became slightly worried. "Hey man, what's wrong?" Liam asked grabbing Niall and standing over by me. "I don't know. Just the usual I guess." I sighed as Liam gave me this knowing look. "Is it about Miranda?" Niall asked. I nodded my head slightly and sunk to the floor. "Am I doing something wrong? Because I feel like the closer I get to her the more she pushes me away...I mean she's not afraid of scary movies, and she loves it when we kiss in the dark, so why is she afraid of falling in love?" I said dropping my head into my hands. "That's actually a really good start to a song, mind if we us it Louis?" asked Harry as he came walking in obviously just hearing the last thing I had said. "Harry just get out of here," Liam huffed out. "Whatever, I'm going to Nando's anyone want to come with?" "Aw man I'm there! Sorry lads I'll talk to you later!" with that Niall was running out the door with Harry at his heels. "Is this about the whole living together situation?" Liam than asked turning to look at me. "Yeah, or I mean I think so. Last night she almost left my bed around 12 in the morning. It was so peculiar. Did you see her this morning?" I asked suddenly. Liam looked at me strangely. "No she wasn't here when I woke up." I looked him and my face dropped. I took out my phone then and quickly dialed her number. It rang for quite some time before someone picked up. "Hello?" A soft voice came from the other side. "Miranda?" I asked quietly almost matching the tone. "Yeah. Louis? Is that you?" She asked her voice raising back to normal. "Yeah it is. I was just calling wondering where you were, I was worried." I told her, waiting for her answer. "Oh, I'm sorry. I'm at Starbucks would you like me to pick you up some tea?" she asked. I nodded my head slightly. "Yeah, that would be great! I'll see you when you get back home." there was a small space until she answered. "Yeah I'll see you later, bye!" The phone disconnected and it was just the low tone that was left until I hung up. "She'll warm up to the idea of actually living with you! I know she loves you just as much as you, it's just hard. You know, since we have a famous band and she is still working on getting her art career up and running." Liam said reassuringly. I looked up at him. "But why does she have to do it this way?" I asked quietly. "Louis, you knew from the very start that Miranda is a very independent person so going from paying for everything by herself and living on her own, to being thrusted into this hectic lifestyle is strange for her especially since you are the one making all of the money. She doesn't want to feel like she's being solely dependent on you!" he concluded and I completely understood now why she was acting like that. I lit up with a bright idea. "What if we get her on our art team she would be making a lot then and wouldn't be solely dependent on me!" I explained excitedly. © 2013 Miranda Buchanan |
