Chapter 2A Chapter by Miranda Buchanan When I opened my eyes the whole room seemed different. Everything wasn't all black and white like I thought it would be, the color was the same, but I could hear a pin drop outside the front door of a building, and I knew it was a pin outside the building because I just did. My new brain knew exactly where everything is and what it is. I could feel the students in the dorm building were in their rooms. I could feel their hearts beating and the blood pursing through their veins. I looked at the girl who also turned into the beast. “How are you holding up kid?” the girls voice popped up in my head. She looked at me curiously. “It’s different than what I’m used to. I’m Frank by the way.” I bobbed my head to show how different it is. “It’s nice to meet you Frank, I’m Alicia. Thank you for not killing me while I was vulnerable.” she nodded once to show her gratitude towards me. “It’s no problem Alicia and it’s nice to meet you too. How are we doing this anyway?” a questioning look crossed my face. “Mind speaking? It’s how werewolves communicate with each other. Instead of barking and other things we just talk to each other with our minds, hence the name mind speaking.” we started howling with laughter at how easily it is to understand it now. “So what do we do now?” I started pacing back and forth trying to think of things we would do. “Well Frank, since you’re new we can go hunt.” we smiled at each other with that dog grin. We started trotting out the door and down the halls. I took a sniff of the air and howled when I got the aroma of a drunk group of people a couple blocks down from the dorm building. We crashed through the halls and bounded down the stairs out the front door. I howled and growled with anticipation. “Wait Frank, what do you want to do?” Alicia looked at me. “I don’t know, I want to go and sink my teeth into those drunks.” my mouth started to drool at the thought. “What drunks?” Alicia’s eyes questioned. “You mean you can’t feel them? They’re a couple blocks down, here follow me.” I sprinted off in the direction of our next meal.
