Shed

Shed

A Poem by Sora Kim

break all the windows
it don't matter anymore
break all the windows
break them all

there's nothing left of this house anyway
no soul to home,
no soul to home.
no soul left to go back to home to.
no murals to make sense of.
nothing in the house makes sense.

the furniture is all over the place.
scratches where they shouldn't be,
and a mind that has been plated on the wall.
like a wallpaper that was peeling off,
yet never was painted in the first place.

nothing makes sense in that house.
nothing makes sense in that house.
nothing is left in that house.

let the spirits out,
let the nothingness out.
let whatever is left of it, the air, particles and all;
let them free.
let them rest.
let them find somewhere to rest. please.
i beg of you to find them a home to reside.
they've been laying aside,
dust collection,
dust collecting,
words collecting,
word collection.
in a pile, in a corner someplace. maybe somewhere
where the queen bed used to be.

there's nothing left to house this house.
nothing left to make it a home.
nothing left to live in.
nothing left to make it a home.

so we shall all leave.
and let it rest. leave it to rest.
stay.
