You and I--Part 1A Story by Mira
I had some pages rotting in my cupboard and I was getting bored for want of work, so I thought of writing about you.
You are as real as much as you are imaginary. You are in the pages of the books, in the leaflets strewn across the floor of my room;in the blank pages of the new copy. You are imaginary. If time permits I would like to draw you sometime and give shape to your body. I look to my right, to my left, at the front and I can feel you smiling at me. But you are not there, I know you are an imagination. I have told you numerous secrets but they haven't reached your ears. It's okay. I feel good just by talking...to you...yet, not to you. I have cracked numerous jokes and laughed on your behalf. You can flash a smile in return when we meet after eons. I have walked places, stairs, roads with pretty canopy, holding out my hand by my side, hoping you would grab it casually. Silly me. But no worries, you can shake hands with mine for a bit, if we ever meet. I am not waiting for you. I am pretty busy on my own. No, I am not looking your way. You will come, if you have to. Till then, I will have the imaginary you. © 2023 MiraReviews
