UnfinishedA Poem by MiraA small step to come out of the quagmire
The jangles of the bangles in the shops,
The tinkle of the dreamcatcher on the wall, Told me the story You left unfinished for long. I have been missing on the world, In search of you. I have turned away from me, To look at you. I have treaded the mountains, Sailed the sea, Walked the clouds, And stole the rain, To give you mixed with love. But I have forgotten That there was someone named I. Whom I have left alone In the house I have left so far. I am going back, To the world I know the best. There is a breath of fresh air, And a pile of warm bed. There is a story lying beneath the table, Forgotten by you, But I have completed it, And now it's new. © 2021 MiraFeatured Review
