Puppet Strings

Puppet Strings

A Poem by Kyle W. Hunt
"

A little song

"
You used to hold my puppet strings
Until you got a call
Then you packed up your things
And simply left it all

You loosened your grip
And left me limp
Inside that hardwood chest
Tied in knots
Left to rot
In the attic left to rest

You used to make me dance and smile
once upon a time
Oh, but its been awhile
Since you threw me that line

But you fell apart
Wanted a new start
In Chicago then
Won't you drop your things
And pick up my strings
And play with me again

You used to make me dance and smile
Once upon a time
Oh, but its been awhile
Since you threw me that line
