Nightmare

Nightmare

A Poem by Kyle W. Hunt
"

Call it rap, call it a poem, call it what you wish, its all the same to me.

"
Nightmares, night terrors
What are you really scared of?
Is it the truth?
Or those lies in your head
In your bed, that scare you
About what you really think of me
Tell me, why are you unhappy
I'm getting sappy, feely
Over everything I see
Why are my dreams so pleasant?
Like heaven
When you lie there
Tossing and turning, yearning
Hoping what your dreams tell you is a lie
But why would you do that to yourself?
You need help
Finding the truth
From the man inside the booth
Hiding behind the wall
Your call
But you don't need it
You have me
