Science ExperimentA Poem by Kyle W. HuntWrote this in science class, where else.Fountains of bubbling
froth surround the room Vials of color in every
corner Like a church filled with
candles A delight for those who
want to explore The head scientist barked
orders at his assistants His loud voice stung the
body like a horde of bees The assistants rushed to
gather the equipment And placed them in a
ritualistic circle upon the desk The head scientist placed
a small white marble Into each bright vial They made loud hissing
noises Then they exploded with
colors The heavy anticipation floated
in the air And made it feel like the
roof was going to cave Each test tube turned into
a geyser of colors A rainbow halo seemed to
appear around the head scientist The room immediately
exploded with applause The clapping sounded like
thunder As it shook the room
violently Grins spread across
people’s faces as they exited the room © 2011 Kyle W. Hunt |
