Souls BoundA Poem by Mia M.For we are just two soul-bound lovers, dear, As alike in our ways as one. But you want nothing to do with me, I fear, And love, is there anything I could have done? For, though I’ve tried, You just run and hide. And leave me feeling so broken and empty inside Oh lover dear, why did you fear? I had been perfectly happy here. I’ve tried to be there, But you pushed me away. Can’t you see we’re a pair? Yet you’ve chosen not to stay. But here you come along, Showering me with sweet nothings again. Love, do you think I’m dumb? It will never be the way it was . The hurt that you’ve dealt, You know that I’ve felt. Your animosity and rage, And don’t you think it’s strange? Now that my affection has been beaten, You come back pretending to care. Well in got news for you, my friend, My love for you is beyond repair. Because while you were away, Thinking that I would wait for you, I realized that all you were doing, Was making the best of things for you. And I was just your plaything, A little ball of string, Something you could bat around, And leave again on a whim. Well this time it’s different, And maybe you’ll take the clue, Because of your actions and all your half-lies, I’ve finally gotten
over you. © 2013 Mia M.Author's Note
