A Final ActA Poem by minislaA Final Act
Here I sit perched on my crumbling throne A liability to the state a burden am I Held against my will tortured easily detained A stark reminder I still exist today
I am a scholar willing and eager to learn Given a chance who knows what can be achieved Have a mind all my faculties must be of some use Not another forgotten soul thrown on the scrapheap
As I witness an uncaring world whizzing by Seconds pass to minutes, hours a blink of an eye A horrible feeling deserted alone I face life This planet an unforgiving place in which to reside
The only joy to face the void an empty existence All that’s left in life for me is to gracefully die Just pass me a spade for it’s the very least I can do For I will excavate the soil where my body shall lie © 2013 minislaFeatured Review
