Night

This is the first poem I have ever written.

I sat atop my roof,
seeking comfort,
from the night sky.

The darkness enveloping me,
as if it were a blanket,
making me feel warm and safe.

The moon,
a beacon of love.

The stars,
dancing,
to music that is not heard.

I sit there,
like a stone,
watching them dance.
