I Love You

I Love You

A Poem by minicoop

I've always been scared
Of that one little word:
Love

It holds so much weight,
Even if it is not often
Used as such a weighty word.

Yet I've said I to you,
And I'll say it again:
I love you.

I love you deeper
Than the Ocean's own depths,
So rich and so vast
That every time we are sent down,
Something new and so fascinating
Is found within,
More intricate than the last discovery.

But-
What if-
I'm in love with you?

That love brighter than
The morning star that
Warms our small, lovely earth,
So bright and daunting
That it warms our backs
And breathes life
Into every living thing?

If so-
What then?
