Pretty FingersA Poem by minicoopPretty Fingers She has such pretty fingers, I watch as she moves those pretty fingers To make her instrument sing. They’re mesmerizing; And as I follow the movement of her pen Gliding effortlessly across the page- I become jealous of that pen, For it has a lifetime to be grasped by those Pretty Fingers Pretty Fingers She has such pretty fingers, And today I had the pleasure Of watching them dance while she drove me home. I watched endlessly As her hands coaxed the stereo to play for her, Guided the steering wheel like it was a fragile thing, And came to rest by my own- Oh how I wish I could hold those Pretty Fingers Pretty Fingers She has such pretty fingers, They were softer than I imagined And stronger than I thought- When I finally got to hold those Pretty Fingers © 2015 minicoop |
