Untitled 2006

Untitled 2006

A Poem by Mia
"

Wrote this on March 8th of 2006. Not sure what was happening at that time in my life.

"
Once
Twice
Thrice

She stares again at this broken mirror.
Her eyes forget when she sees
The reflected fragments of her Shadow.
An omnipresent, shattered adumbration,
That obscurity of lost
Hope.

The Shadow lingers in her presence,
Never disregarding Its cumbersome company.
As if It almost takes pleasure in knowing
That Its aura strikes torment into her very
Soul.

She can’t forget.
She won’t forget.
Her very being is consumed
By a Phantom of all that has been
Lost.

Her own ecstasy has been damned
To the perpetual, unforgiving angst.
She drowns in a sea of memories,
Hurling her body through waves of unrelenting
Chaos.

Once
Twice
Thrice

Honestly, I'm not sure if some of these words make sense in context.

It sounds like a regret,
or something done wrong.
The Shadow, a constant reminder.

Beautiful poem, you described pain so visually.
great write;
