Bitter or BetterA Poem by Heath Mindy
Now it know it was all about your perspective All about your Pride. False that is, Why you lied! Having lived six decades, Didn't seem to do the trick, Your so crafty, I overlooked your stick, I realize With real eyes I had faith and believed, I had finally knew, It was what you felt you had to do. You coveted all I had, You could not see that you were bad. I was not going to open your eyes, I had to open mine, it was no surprise. I saw your many lies. I gave up with my whys. The past is dead and gone and memories only exist. I keep only the good ones and I have a pretty long list. I choose nearly forty years ago, to choose to be better, not bitter. Since then you are not the only crafty witch, I have seen quite a litter. Taking advantage of a woman with strong maternal love, Then making yourself seem as if you understood her God above. Chaining, staining, Then came raining.... Healing Kneeling... I saw enough of your stealing... I decided for my best, To forgive it all, no more memories of the rest. I care not to know, I only will proceed and go... Away from the bitter to enjoy my better I am not even going to take the time to write you a letter. You know you did, and continued to do- Now for my refresh button, Forgetting about you. Or perhaps I will remember, just enough to remind me to know, That people like you have a perspective, that will only lies grow! Your false pride, not only once lied, but continues to deceive, Loving you is one thing, but from a long distance, and never ever cleave! It is only the kind of love, that pities you from afar, I couldn't get away fast enough, thank God for my car! © 2017 Heath MindyAuthor's Note
