My Life in PoetryA Poem by Heath Mindy
I have a son, who is the tallest tree in the forest,
I have a daughter who is the flower pedals in the field, dancing, around that forest. Each have experienced richness, and equally releasing all to those around them, experiencing the poorest, Like their Mom and Dad, Something they each had, Was clarification, of identification, To understand who they are, and are not. Giving their love freely, never to be bought. Seasons come and seasons go, yet each of these one thing to know, Even Mom and Dad in this season, again, will not go. Embrace where you are at, and know we are here for you. Encouraging pleasure in whatever you are about to do, because we know, you know, love is true! You are the giant tree standing out in the forest, and she is the flower pedals coloring the field, We are watching with dignity and honor to encourage, yet standing firm allowing ourselves to yield, For although we wish to be a prompt and helpful shield, We only planted the tree and the flowers in the field. We are not in control of even our very own lives. We pray for each, what is needed in husbands and wives, You must choose whom for your journey you will share, In all of life"s moments gladly love to bare. Again, Mother is on her knees, requesting her persistent pleas, That each of you will know, Love for each of you to grow, For love is something to give and receive, To the hope of God, being love, may you and your families cleave.
