Fairy

Fairy

A Poem by Heath Mindy

A little child, was told, a fairy would come one eve
The little child, did what any child would do-
Believe.
An older child, told the little child, that it was not true-
Do you know what the little child did?
What any little child would do.
Cry.
Why?
Now time went by...
That little child became an older child, with a younger child in line-
Then came a certain time...
Why make another cry?
Why not let them discover -
Truth in love to uncover?
A fun fairy may not exist-
Yet fantasy has few to enlist.
It doesn't hurt any one what a child in such sweetness might believe-
It doesn't hurt the child, does it? It was Mother's words, that the child, did in trust cleave-
So might it hurt this mother and this child to share such fantasy?
It would not if Mother and child alone shared the story -as a story-don't you see?
Mother says, "Lets pretend," and child it's ears takes time to lend-
They play a game, it is the same, playing "make believe."
Sometimes it is time to say,"The End." The story time is done-
Thus this should as well, be up to Mother, and child, for an older sibling has no business with such selfish fun.
Unless the little one says, "Why?" The older sibling needs to hush up and not make the little one cry.
Still tears are probably going to follow when such a fun event comes to a close-
However all must learn to regroup and as well, learn not to be such a nose.
So all have learned a lesson, perhaps Mother too-for she must learn to speak truth in love and this is nothing new. She can play such games as clear pretend and set a closure time. Like tooth fairies come until your last first tooth is gone  and only leave a dime.
They are only pretend, and really not real, but it is fun to play-
Leave your lost tooth under your pillow-and wake up that next day-
To a shiny coin under there,
She may leave a quarter, a nickle or dime, the amount is not the care-
The fact she came while you were asleep-means she would not have come at all, if you had made a single peep-
It was all a game to send you to bed, and insist you go to sleep.
So even if you are awake, learn now a sleep, is best to fake.
And the only one to tell that you believe in fairies is Mother-for she is her-and there is no other!
