Kittens Galore! Who is who, and When????

I started out very organized! I knew the dates of each birth, the time even, and how many kittens were born.  Yes, even to whom! However they just kept coming! It took time to feed them, groom them, give them safe outdoor play and attend to them inside the home.  Petting them, kitty litter training them, and even making sure they behaved! Kittens can get into mischief you know. Within the writings is a list and then that is done, no more birthing rooms for any cats in this family! It is a job within itself to document each, to find homes for each,

to do all the vet care for each, and be sure each are all safe and fed, and watered, and even treated and petted each day!  Each female kitten even before adoption will be spaded, as long as they are on the waiting list of any family as well each mother when completed her nursing time is also spaded. It was always intended to spade the mother as soon as she was finished nursing, however the cost of kitten care was more than our pockets could hardly afford. We did not want to rely on charity to do this; however relying on charity was the most charitable thing to do! In fact, we ended up paying far more in kitty litter and kitten and cat foods! Not to mention all the added treats!  So once we found out about it, we said, “YES!”  We never would have even had “one” kitten if it had not been a stray and the winter was not so cold. And then there is the original story of how the stray kitten came to come onto our country road. That will

Be in an upcoming book! There will be plenty of stories to tell!  So very many so as Mother of the Home writes them, keep watch and learn about the beauty of cat family life! If any of these books ever get published a portion of the money will go to pet care! None of the kittens have been sold, and all are free to good homes, yet a great deal has gone into these kittens, and it is clear that other people may have needs as well! Not just to enjoy a family cat, but to enjoy the relaxation of knowing they can feed them and care for their vet needs. Pets can really be expensive, but every family needs to have one at least for one lifetime! A cat can come and live in your home, as a kitten, and grow with the new born child, by the time that child is finished college, that cat will be ready for cat heaven. Both will have gone on to new lives. They say a cat has nine lives and during the years of raising a child you will surely at least experience the reality that your child had nine too!  Just ask any

Grandmother, how many times she had close calls with your parent! (Just an in-between thought to ponder.) Let Mother of the house being the human author; begin the leading of the litter’s documentation for this story.

Miss Kitty, she was the little stray kitten that started all these generations of kittens!

Her first batch was born April 13, 2013 and now it is September 13, 2014 and no one is pregnant and no more kittens have been born, as of August 24/25, 2014. Those will be on the last list, as long as all goes as planned for the spading appointments.

At this time, of September, it would be difficult to keep all six kittens that are left for adoption in the house all day and night, along with the three mothers, and one basket of new kittens. The new born kittens are not quite a month old yet, so they are ok. They just stay in the basket.  However, as the second Mom of all these kittens, it is a lot of work to attend to them all, and keep the house in order! To top it off, the head of the household was out of employment last September and found employment by October  in order for the family to stay located, however just this month again! The same time of year, last year, he became unemployed! Thus the decision to find a home for “All” cats, with the exception of Miss Kitty, who originated as the first stray kitten, had to be made, as an option for the people within the home to possibly as well survive! They have all been part of the family; however like the eldest child who will possibly take one, on his way to his own flat, each must find their own way in the world.  They are none the less, still family, and will always be loved by the Mother of the home!  A woman may have a dozen children,

But her grandchildren and their children are too many to live in her original home. Plus although a mother thinks that she will never be mothered out, there will come a time that she too needs a bit of mothering, even while she yet is mothering her adult children! Especially if she is one like this Mother of the Home, who rarely took time for herself, and gave all her energy to the raising and rearing of her family.  All need to have special love and attention and sometimes too many or too little is not a good idea, so balance it good for all involved!

“KITTEN LIST #1.” April 13, 2013.

Simba, a Siamese, who now has a home.

Ivory and Hunter, both Siamese kittens, who both also have a home.

Java and Ebony, whom are Norwegian Field kittens, stayed with Miss Kitty. They became Mothers!

Then the next batch of Miss Kitty came before she had a chance to be spaded, as during the last adoption that took place of her kittens, the family “she” lived with, was in a crisis that meant a move! These three cats, being Miss Kitty, Java, and Ebony, were going to have to be adopted at that time as well. It is not an easy task to find rentals that allows pets! So much were the three wanted to stay, however, before there was time to make any arrangements, arranging to move was urgent, so thus they did end up staying.  As it turned out the head of the household found employment, and they were able to stay. However they had already taken time to pack up and store the entire household, now they had to unpack it and set it all back up! The three cats never had to move anywhere! They just watched what was happening and had

No clue! They went on about the normal business that cats do. And strangers came along on the property! So while Miss Kitty kept getting pregnant with her kittens Dad, Java and Ebony also found Dad’s! Eventually even Java and Ebony had a batch of kittens, thankfully “only one each!” Each batch of kittens is quite a few kittens per cat.  They all need to be placed in a nursery basket and kept clean. The mother Cat does most of that, diligently, however keeping clean pet pads and blankets to be cozy are important. Also later they need to be introduced to drinking water and eating kitten food. They have to have sunshine and outdoor fresh air and they have to be indoor litter trained as well. Knowing when to come in and when to go out, how to ask to go out is also important to keep the outdoor litter training going on as well. All this has to be done, while waiting for placement homes! All the kittens are gorgeous,

But like children, kittens grow up to be cats, and it is important to find homes for each that will be long term.  Miss Kitty is the founder of all the kittens, and eventually she being a grandmother did a lot of work, to help nurse her grandbabies, as well as her own new born, she had in the process!  Java and Ebony, being sisters, also helped nurse one another’s kittens.  They really have had quite a family life, all together! Slowly one at a time, here and there, kittens from all these kittens, would be adopted.  From the spring of 2014 to the end of the summer 2014, more kittens were born from the three of these Cats than could be counted by most, but Mother counted each and all, every time they went out, went to bed, and or she left the house, or it was time for them to come in! Needless to say, she had a full time job taking care of all of these three cats and kittens! It would have been best to keep all three of the

Cats inside from the start, as she did not have the financial ability to get them spaded during the unemployment crisis number one or number two. In the area of which they are residence, jobs are not so easy to find. Especially if you have a family, and to move, that takes money too! Becoming homeless humans is not at all unusual around these parts.  It is hoped that this family or the pets will not be amongst the statistics, however Lord alone knows how He is going to provide for that ‘not” to happen!  It is a very good thing to give thanks to God for the simple and most valuable blessings in your life, the people, and the pets cared for with homes, medical care, and good foods, and appropriate activities and safety from strangers too! May the angels of Heaven watch over us, in His tender loving care!

Kitten List #2 Born April 25th 2014 Three kittens to Miss Kitty, her second batch!

Puss (Siamese kitten) is now in Heaven as of May (Memorial Weekend) only one month old. A most beautiful angelic kitten that Miss Kitty and Mother of the home mourned deeply for through the night, while Miss Ebony gave birth to her first and last litter of kittens.

Boots, the cat who is now named Rosie, from her adoption. (Siamese kitten)

Clarence is a Siamese kitten, nearly grown into a cat, is up for adoption this weekend. A friendly feline indeed! It was so easy to get attached to him as he is so sweet and such a great pillow for all the other kittens! He is simply wonderful with all the kittens, and even bathes them!

Memorial Weekend (Last weekend of May 2014) came the third batch of kittens born in the home from Miss Ebony.  The first being a pure black kitten named Peace. Named this as

After the mourning of Puss, it seemed clear that Miss Kitty had moved on to attend to the needs of, her daughter, named Miss Ebony, and even helped her with the afterbirth and cleaning up the kittens.  She later bathed Miss Ebony as well.  Through the first weeks she attempted to nurse the kittens a little more than needed, as Miss Ebony needed to build her milk up to nurse.  She was obviously loving on her grandbabies and nursing at the same time. Soon enough she herself would be having her third and last batch!

Miss Ebony’s First Batch Memorial Weekend thus was as follows…Six kittens.

List #3. Memorial Weekend 2014

Peace (pure black cat)

Quiet (pure black cat, with a few stray white hairs on neck)

Puff (named Puff as the ragdoll Siamese that are listed here were referred to as Little Puffs, by the mother of the home, although at first she tried to name all six kittens by the fruits of the holy spirit, being nine, it was easy for her to forget which six she chose for names! At the time she was thinking at least enough names to cover six, and then found to name each of the ragdoll Siamese “Little Puffs,” as she would refer to them, until they were adopted was easiest plan to benefit all.  The last one that is now in September 13, 2014, not adopted, still goes by the name Little Puff. She honestly thinks she owns the mother of the home, and is a darling, and yes, needing a home that she is the princess and only cat to bestow affections on!

Puff, adopted and name Lido.

Puff, adopted and named Panda.

Although five are listed, Miss Ebony actually had six. Strangely one of the kittens was lost as Miss Ebony removed that one from the litter after it was one month old.  It was a very strange experience and the household found it very clear that with animals, the survival of the fittest is a normal expectation.  In fact, Miss Kitty tried to discard one for having a crocked tail of which she may well have caused herself for having sat on it, but he also had crossed eyes. It was caught on time that she was trying to discard it in her animal instinct, thus, the Mother of the home had to work with her to accept the kitten.  This kitten turned out to be Clarence and stayed a lot longer with the family before adoption was ready to take place. He is again a most adorable feline! And up for adoption!

List #4 would be Miss Java’s first and last batch! She was quite the prepared mother as was each and all the three mothers. Miss Kitty and Miss Ebony both thus far had chosen the bedroom that, “usually’ had the door shut! They knew when the door would be opened, as a schedule of school hours and routine took place in the home. The other bedroom was preferred at one time, however one of the residents did not want to have any kittens born within, and having the family dog taking up residence on the foot of the bed was more than he appreciated, but accepted as Mother of the home had him as her companion dog. He also, when not at the foot of the bed, and outside the said residence, in other rooms, stayed close to Miss Kitty, being she strayed to his home when he was first purchased as a puppy. He was a

Red Butler to his Scarlet o’ Harrah, you might say, on this plantation! The family pup, who

within the year, grew into a dog, as did the stray kitten into Miss kitty, the cat, who lived on the rooftop, and came in for warm cream and goodies with him, as well took up the role of a father image to her kittens and the other kittens, an uncle, and a true gentleman to His Miss Kitty.

Miss Java decided the big leather chair had an underlining that would work perfect for her birthing room.  It was hot Fourth of July! She must of known she would need to get in and somewhere close to the inside of the door and yet safe from all the other kittens that have taken up residency! Although many were adopted out already, many were still growing to get ready to be adopted or simply had not yet been adopted. Finding good homes for kittens is a lot of work!

Thus Java’s Clan is as follows.

Tigger (or Jelly Bean) A tiger kitten. At this time, he is adopted by a family member, temporarily until a more suitable home is located.

Pure gray kitten adopted and named Smokey

Dorothy a black and white Norwegian Field kitten and she is so precious, having that ragdoll second temperament, and even touches Mother’s face with her paw, very gently. Like Miss Ebony’s Puff, who is a ragdoll, in appearance and first temperament, she too needs a home where she is the princess of the estate! Sadly her sister just passed away this week, and her name was Frenchie.  It had occurred that her name is Francine in Heaven. A very lovely kitten as is Dorothy, who is still looking for a home.  Although we live in the

country, a stranger may have accidently pulled into the driveway. It appeared that she may have run under the car to hide, and of course the stranger did not see her, being so tiny. Again the family grieves for this loss! Sometimes a kitten will crawl under a car, where you cannot see it. And when the vehicle moves, they may get internal bruised so it is a good idea to always peep when you leave your home.  Mother always counts her kittens when she leaves and also beeps the horn in case for a split second they move while she is moving her car.  Sometimes people come to visit when families are away, and sometimes strangers drive into the wrong driveways, and it is important that they learn to watch for family pets that are out.  Because it was only a quick run it did not seem needed to place the kittens inside, however lessons are often learned by tragedies. We cannot protect ourselves and or

Page 16

others from every loss in life, and living in a bubble is a hard thing to do but sometimes it is best until they understand not to stand in a driveway, yet my cats tend to lie out in the driveway, like the rabbits do. When it is so humid in the summer, pets can get cozy on a dirt driveway, under the forest trees. Thus finding homes for my kittens requires that the new owners understand they have had a most safe location on the major part, but even then as it is told a sorrow occurred. Now maybe it was in fact a wild animal, it is hard to tell, as no one was home for the shot interval. Sometimes large dogs will wander on other people property too, and a tiny kitten might seem like a toy to them.  I suggest indoor homes for my kittens when at all possible, if they are going to be only cats, and when outside to be outside with them. That is a lot

For anyone to do but there is no way to guarantee safety all the time.  One must understand that they do the best they can, but accidents happen, and that is why they are called accidents. We do the best we can to prevent them, without taking the joy of living away. People and animals need sunshine and fresh air, and getting outdoors is a very healthy thing to do!  In fact we all know that many accidents can occur in the home as well.  We do what we can, but we have to accept that all life ends for various reasons at different times. Do our best to keep one another safe, and remember to love our neighbors as ourselves, so when you go out riding, do be careful, especially on a rainy foggy eve, as this was, the night Francine went to cat heaven. Although she already was enjoying a haven of a life, as were her owners having her around! If you plan to visit, it is courteous to call ahead, so pet

Owners can plan to protect their pets, from any mishaps! Each living creature wants to enjoy life, and do all possible, to keep the life healthy and safe. All and all, four kittens in entirety, Java gave birth to and mothered, and two are left to be adopted, being Dorothy (named after Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, wanting to go home, and she is a home kitten, loving to be close and inside, and then there is Tigger, who is a bit timid and yet very playful like Tigger the silly cat!  We even have a sign that says, Tiger Crossing in the garden towards the door of the home! He is enjoyed by an adult family member of the home, and semi adopted, as mentioned, temporarily.  Many people have inquired about Dorothy, however the blessed home for her had not yet, been found. Perhaps this weekend, however, as all the kittens, she too will be deeply missed. She surely has been cherished. She is best as an indoor cat. In fact,

She likes to go outside with the other kittens at times, by mainly prefers to spend her time alone with the Mother of the home. She curls up on her pillow, or on Mother’s chest, and just enjoys being alone. The pet of Mother! She is nearly identical to Miss Kitty, the grandmother, and a very darling kitten, for sure! All certainly are darling, and as each get adopted it is wonderful to hear from the new owners how thrilled they are with each of these gentle well behaved, and very much attached to by the owners, kittens! Individual characters for sure! One was told to have crawled into a hole in the wall of the new owner, as they were renovating the house, and nearly frightened them to death for having done so! They had to do a lot more repairing from what was understood of the event, in order to get him out! That was Simba! Then another had moved a thousand miles away,

and climbed up into an eighty foot tree. The fire department had to come! That was a fun story! As each of the kittens go to new adoptive homes, they each have a story of their own to tell! In fact, so many stories have been written about each of them that have simply to come about to be published.  This is a rough draft to introduce the future stories that will be published as well there is another introduction to the stories, telling about Miss Kitty’s first birthing. That is a grand story! Another story was begun; the book was going to be “A Dozen Kittens!” however in time more litters were added.  It became important to spade the litters and get to the finishing up of the lists, so each kitten had been documented correctly for birth dates and mothers….amongst other matters. This story may help find some homes for those left behind, and also remind others that it is

Important to get your new kitten spaded when she arrives in your home. If you take in a stray, keep in mind that you will fall in love with her, and it will be no easy task to put her up for adoption.  Mother plans to relocate to keep at the very least, Miss Kitty, and one of her generational offspring’s. Both being spaded and keep companionship for one another. Although like Dorothy, Miss Kitty likes being the Princess of the home, knows what is being talked about and has her own Scarlet O Harra style of being the head of the home.  To have up to four cats seems fair if you can handle that many with the food and all that an animal requires for attention daily. Working outside the home and having pets within the home, while you are away to work may be companionship to one another, but

Also keep in mind the mischief they might be up to while you are away!

Finally, August 24/25th in the middle of the night, Miss Kitty had her third batch and last batch of kittens. It was a busy weekend as the adult human daughter of the home had gone away to New York City to be proposed to by a fine gentleman, who had kept the Mother of the home informed of the event that her daughter was about to have! Also at this same time Miss Kitty gave birth to the four infant kittens now in the home, which have not been named, and only to the date just received the first drink of water! They are now a two thirds month old, but very large kittens indeed! So much has happened in these few short weeks! Two are Siamese, and two are Norwegian field kittens.  It seems that perhaps they are older, as so much happened this spring/summer with a batch of kittens born April to Miss Kitty,

prior to this litter, which means she had nursed and at the age of those kittens being eight weeks old, and all adopted out but one, she went and conceived and had a batch at the end of the summer! It only takes two months and a week to conceive and give birth to a litter of kittens!  It was when Miss Ebony was nursing her infants and Miss Kitty had to be put outside a little more to allow Miss Ebony time to nurse her kittens, which Miss Kitty kept trying to nurse. It would have been just as well to let her busy herself with her grandchildren, and help her daughter, in hindsight! Her spring litter of kittens was adopted at eight to ten weeks, and she was obviously lonely for her own kittens.  Now she has her last batch and she is surely at the grandmother age! She is only really just barely two years old herself! However she has surely had quite a lot of kittens in generation terms, as well as her own.

She has been a fantastic mother and learned new ways from her instinct ways, as well. She is a smart cat! A great influence on her daughter kittens that have grown into mothers, and loved deeply for sure! Fact is known she knows when a tuna can is opened, she gets half, and she knows when a coffee is poured, she gets some warm cream. She deserves special treatment! All the kittens do! They get scrambled eggs, cooled before they leave and in between transitions, like when a batch of new kittens are born. This helps settle their tiny tummies.  They have also been introduced to canned milk in case they get adopted before 10 weeks. All of the kittens nurse as long as the mother is around. In fact, Miss Java and Miss Ebony would nurse Miss Kitty right up until they gave birth themselves. They were only barely a year old when they gave birth this past summer.  She will however

Being spaded as soon as these kittens are finished nursing, which she will be given her full reign to nurse up to ten weeks, and then they will have to be adopted out. None of the three mothers will be able to nurse them as all three mothers will have been spaded at that time. Kittens Galore will have freedom to go out the door, grown if home alone and wise to stay out of trouble! Most naturally they all will have their own adopted families and Miss Kitty will be back on the rooftop guarding the house, and keeping all the mice away! This Christmas or the four kittens she just had this late summer, early autumn, will be ready for loving homes to stay warm through the winter and years to come, with lots of love and petting and purring!  As for the Mother of this house, she will dearly miss them all, and yet her time writing stories about each of them will fill her

KITTENS ARE AVAILABLE TO BE ADOPTED! FREE TO GOOD HOMES! This woman is NOT a cat lady by nature, she merely took in one singular stray and over the course of one summer found herself with many kittens to her surprise! This document has some editing to achieve in time, and other stories will include photography of the beautiful kittens. This documentary can inform cat lovers of some valuable information to share with children if they are thinking of adopting a kitten. Also a threshold to many stores that the author plans to have available in the future for the children who love the cats!
