Puff in the airA Poem by akshayPuff in the air He saw the clouds, like puffs of air. His mind burdened, By a puff lightened. He drew a sigh, A puff he sighed. His mind lightened, a puff his own sighted. Weary of his mind, he smoked a chime. He drew a breath, for he was lit. A puff he sighted. His mind yearned to light, like the puff of his sight. But he kept sighing, He kept sighting. The wind blew. his eyes glew, A puff he sighted, like a thought blowed. He drew a puff, the embers fluffed. He blew a puff, hoping his thoughts would fluff. But sighed a cloud, like from the sky. The wind skewed, the puff flew. His hand twitched, the ember flinched. Ash strewn like thoughts astray, The puffs swayed. He flicked the extra digit, Off his hand. He drew a sigh, heavy like ash. The puffs blown away, His sighs left astray. For he yearned for thoughts, like a puffs of air. © 2016 akshay |
