Held her fork by the roof. baby-faced roommate dripping off a bird's feathers.
You used to go to the carnival and hear violet noises. Dangling the paper plate by her lap, covering what appeared to be her knees. So, they ate. Bitten mashed up raspberry s**t. Pie for the next day. This boy watered the plants and slept by bricks on the porch. He opened his soggy eye to get a glimpse of her lit dust. Trying to doodle out a melody on some beaten up acoustic thing. It looked like overall patches and the kind of flower pot you hang off a roof. She had been watching the whole time. Said she recognized the song, like it was off his new album or something, almost like he could afford a microphone next to having blonde hair unlike the radio guy. She was dandy, enthralled, paralyzed by juggled comfort. "I've been here before" he said with some sort of southern twang. They dropped straight through the floorboards right after daybreak and didn't laugh about it. © 2010 mindAuthor's Note
