The Ones who Dare to Be StrangeA Poem by Mind RacerA poem that has been trying to develop over a year or so. Kind of about feeling better about you self. Kinda long, but kinda short.
It will never change
They say To the ones who dare to be strange Ah, but one day, they will pay They'll pay for the world's pain Cause words will always hurt me we were never insane But, that they could never see Why? Why should I pay? They asked with a sigh As if they were innocent each day All we wanted was a friend Someone to lighten the load, So against the wall we won't be pinned A friend to keep us out of the cold But, hold my friend Do not become deranged Reinforcements I will send And one day it will be changed For today is ours for the taking Yesterday was then now, new we are waking From a slumber we thought we couldn't win And one day a story will be told Of those who were never out done The Strong, the Brave and the Bold This was our battle to be won And there will nothing pretty as we For we are who we want to be So, why can't they see That I am me?
