Once

Once

A Poem by MimiKin
"

A moment of peace and serenity on a summer evening. Remembering loved ones passed and other memories.

"
Only once, the starry moment
when soft breezes blow your thoughts
accross that arid plain,
sending them away.

Birdsong echoes as the light fades,
sink deeper into the sand my love.
Let go... Let go...
Watch the sky grow nearer.

We open our arms to Embrace
the blinding light of our hearts,
our desire to find the end and
our fear of the ending.

Only once will the river flow until
our eyes are dry and sore, washing
away our sickness.
Breathe slow... Breathe slow...

Now close down and re-open child.
See it is all here, no longer are you blind.
Reach out and touch Paradise,
only once... Only once.
