My SmirkA Poem by For Who I AmWhat happens when a bee loses it's stinger What is the purpose for me to linger I stare at my heart I'm not that clever but I am smart I know the angels want my time to stay But I'm ready to go and stay away I stare at the knife, eager to test But first I take the time to take some rest I give my mom a last kiss on her cheek I gave her a kiss, so meek I'm not afraid to die I've heard some better things on the other side The pain, like coldness Nothing can stop this madness My eyes, dimming Let this end my living A slow smirk spreads I follow the slow beat tread A final gasp allows me to stop My head connects with a knock I look down, eyes glassy With a smirk, as classy
