Darkness or Light

Darkness or Light

A Poem by For Who I Am

It hurts to be light or dark
It hurts, leaving a mark
I don't know what's right or wrong
It carries a tune, like a hypnotic song
What is the difference between dark and light
I give up, losing my fight
I can't help but fade away
I wish I was here and could stay
Is there still a light, somewhere in the darkness
I tremble with fear in this madness
I run into the abyss searching
Somewhere I see it, lurking
I smile, reaching out
Now I can see and never pout
It's beauty reaching out, embracing me
Now that I'm here, I can finally see

Love this poem - sounds like my feelings. You defiantly gave your words life in the end, "Now that I'm here, I can finally see." The rhyming fits this poem perfectly. Good job!!! Unlike my high school english teacher I will give out 100%
