Red, the color of Snow

Red, the color of Snow

A Poem by For Who I Am

Red, the color of snow on the ground
It quietly lays making no sound
The sky weeps as it sees red because it knows a living being is dead
It lays there throughout winter, day by day getting fresher
The trees preserve the blood in their roots
For the wise, old owl knows while it hoots
The animals mourn the lost souls, mourning with sorrow
for they know the lost ones will have no tomorrow
