Two roads depart in the snowy wilderness.

Two roads depart in the snowy wilderness.

A Poem by Emily Villasmil
"

This was a school project, we had to rewrite The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost.

"

I was sorry that I didn’t have the chance to take both

journeys and still be my lonesome self.

I imagined my path further down the road until

my direction changed.

No longer could I see my snowy path.

Then took another turn and that was simply fair.

And maybe just by chance that was for the best,

for the snowy path ahead wanted to be stepped on.

    Dawn sneaked along,

with only the footprints of myself.

But I’ll save walking through once again

for another day.

For I questioned if I should even come back.

I shall be saying this with disappointment.

But for this reason, my two roads split.

And for I snatched the road which

nobody took a chance on.

And that has made all the difference.
