Finding You

Finding You

A Poem by milo

I look for you whenever I remember
we are souls needing to find one another
Bound by solitude and understated knowledge
Of all things lonely and empty.
We long to be found in this faceless place
Where we are all underground and anonymous
and only truths or lies exist
 Or not.

You have been here before...
But I am a  novice
More outwardly present in the world
of family, of home, of everyday,
of the mundane.
Yet we sit,each of us,
holding a computer,
hoping to get back a human touch.

You claim to be dead
I feel dead yet claim to be alive.
I don't buy your death notices or your
feeble attempt to kill yourself off as you were.
Only I extend a hand to you
As you were, as you are, and as you will ever be.
To connect with you in the shameless, faceless way
Longing for a fleeting, maternal cyber-embrace.

They'd hunt you if they knew you're still alive..
To expose the mysteries of your many suffering selves.
As if your truth and beauty depended on your being like them.
I will find you and then let you disappear at will.
And find you and let you go again.
