Shhh!

Shhh!

A Poem by Millzy86

"
confusion begins to set in
never knowing what way to go
taking what you can get
hoping your love doesn't show
the temptation  is too strong to refuse
and so your tender heart gets abused

Hiding the way you feel
Always held back with cold feet
trying not to show the pain
the body  plays the mind, deceit
a bubble of complete ease and calm
every time he takes you in his arms

Lost in his eyes, lost in his touch
the caress of his lips on yours
sparking  a hot adrenaline rush
our bodies are tangled
bloodlust for a high, only  he can quench the sacrifice being, my heart is benched

fear of rejection keeps it hushed
desire for more makes her blush
unable to release and let go
no grand finale for the show
wanting to tell all, take the lead
wishing it could all be freed

Sorry it took me so long to get to your poem. Very powerful, a study of the relationship between desire and doubt. It is no game but it is a competition and you capture all the churning emotions that do the push and pull against each other. Well done and thank you for allowing me the read it :~)
