The stranger

The stranger

A Poem by Millzy86
"

written 2002 one of my first attempt to not be 1st person narrative

"
Along the daunting road
He walks so slow
The pain and anger diminishing
That he so well knows

His work, his life all a mess
His self controls growing less
Why does everyone hate him so much?
His lonely heart no one will touch
When will life give him a break?
So far all it’s done is take

Into the forest he quickens his pace
Resting in front of a stream
Fighting his case
An angel comes to comfort him
His eyes are glazed
Tears on the brim

She takes him back to the road
Where his life was taken
To his new life he is awoken
Waking up to see the lights
For him there are no more lonely nights

He’s with his creator
Safe and secure
His heart and soul
Will hurt no more

Great piece even though it is a little sad. This world can be very cruel sometimes,,,glad in the end he finally found peace just a shame he was not able to attain it while living!

a sad write but beautifully penned. for some people for whom life has not been kind, going to a "better place" to meet their maker is probably the best that can happen to them.
nice one, Millzy.

A powerful poem with a good ending. It seem some people won't know real true peace till death.
"He’s with his creator
Safe and secure
His heart and soul
Will hurt no more "
Above lines are true for many. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
